The Julep Strainer is a 16.5 cm / 6.5 in stainless steel cocktail strainer designed primarily for separating ice from stirred drinks prepared in a mixing glass.
Its perforated bowl sits over or inside the mixing glass while you pour, holding back larger ice cubes without the spring coil found on a Hawthorne strainer. It is particularly at home with Manhattans, Negronis and Martinis — drinks where the ingredients have been stirred rather than assaulted in a shaker.
